Casio offer free calculator emulator licensing for teachers, however the scientific calculators are only available through their ClassPad online platform.
This article describes how to register with the ClassPad platform, apply for an emulator license from Casio, and activate the license in ClassPad.
1. https://auth.casio-intl.com/user/registerForm Register an account with Casio using your school email address.
2. Verify the account with the activation code sent to your mailbox
3. Once your ClassPad account has been created you need to apply for the license.
Go to https://education.casio.co.uk/emulator/ and complete the form as shown below but using your own details. Make sure to check the option for 'ClassWiz Scientific'.
4. Once you've answered the questions you should be granted a license and given a key.
5. We now need to use the key to activate the emulator within ClassPad.
Make note of the key, then go back to classpad.net https://classpad.net/note/#/mypage/ex-tool
You should still be logged in from the account creation process, however if not select 'Log in here (if you already have an account)' and sign in with the account created during steps 1 and 2
6. On the ClassPad online platform, select 'Your license' from the left, then 'If you have a license code click here'
7. Enter the 9-digit emulator code you acquired in step 4 then click Next
8. Confirm the 1 year license start date.
9. Enable the license to finalise the activation.
10. With the license enabled, you can now access the emulators through the ClassPad platform.
11. To use the emulators, first access ClassPad by going to https://classpad.https://classpad.net/note/#/mypage/ex-toolnet/
then select Tools > ClassPad Math
12. In ClassPad Math, select the Calculator icon on the tool bar, then select which emulator you wish to open.
13. To change emulator, select the calculator icon on the far right of the tool bar below the emulator and then re-select.
