Printing is allowed for guests in the primary schools, but the install process is slightly different to that of a standard school laptop. Please follow the guide below to install printers on devices not owned by the school. PLEASE NOTE this is a guide ONLY for Ricoh printers.
Before following the steps below, download the latest Ricoh Universal Print software from Universal Print Driver Downloads | Ricoh Global
At the time of writing this guide, the current version is 4.34.0.0
1) Open the start menu and search for printers and open Printers & Scanners.
2) Click "Add a printer or scanner" and then click "The Printer I want isn't listed" - it may take a few seconds to show and you may have to scroll to see it.
3) Choose "Add a printer using an IP address or hostname"
4) Configure the settings as follows. You'll need to get the IP address info from your IT department.
5) On the "Install the printer driver" page, choose the Ricoh driver that you installed before starting this guide. In this case, Ricoh PCL6 UniversalDriver V4.34 and click Next.
6) Enter a name for the printer. Click Next.
7) For Printer Sharing options, choose Do not share this printer. Click Next and Finish.
