Prerequisites

• You must have an account that you've previously signed into before. If you've never signed in then you must visit IT Support for further instructions.
• You must be registered for Multi-Factor Authentication using the Microsoft Authenticator App. Instructions on how to register can be found here:

Process

Upon login at https://portal.office.com if you've forgotten your password you can now select “Forgotten my password”

You will be asked to ensure your username is correct, then requested to fill out a “Captcha” to ensure you're human

Then, select the option “Approve a notification on my authenticator app” > Send notification > Enter the number on your mobile device (or iPad) as you would to login with Multi-Factor Authentication.

Set the new password, and Confirm the new password > Select “Finish”.

You should get a confirmation, select “To sign in with your new password, click here.” > Login to your account as normal.
