You’ll need both your work laptop/desktop and a mobile device to complete this process.

Step by Step Setup

You’ll need both your work laptop/desktop and a mobile device to complete this process.

Start by going to your laptop/desktop, and navigating to https://mysignins.microsoft.com/security-infoand sign in if prompted with your normal account details. You'll be presented with the below screen. Select "Add sign-in method".

Under "Add a method" select "Authenticator App"

Select "Add"

Select "I want to use a different authenticator app" to start the process - Note at this point if you haven't already, please ensure you've downloaded the Google Authenticator onto your device.

Follow the on screen instructions, and select "Next"

You’ll then be given a QR code. At this point, open the Authenticator app on your mobile device…

Open the Authenticator app. Bottom left of the screen, select the little “+” icon.

Select Scan a QR Code.

You should then see an account like the one below, which is called “Microsoft (The Cam Academy Trust)”.

Go back to the computer and select "Next".

You'll then be asked to type in a 6 digit code. Tap the account on your phone to reveal the PIN, and enter it on your computer. > Select Next.

That’s it! You’re done!
