Your iPad is pretty much pre configured for school use out of the box. On turning on your iPad, you'll be asked some easy setup questions which this guide will walk you through. It is important to note that some options may be skipped or hidden depending on whether the device is a staff or student iPad. There may also been example pictures missing from this guide. Most of the questions / settings you will see are personal preference, other than the Wi-Fi network to connect to (unless you're setting up at home) and the account login details.
1) The first options you'll be presented with is to choose a language, region and appearance settings.
2) On the next screen you may see an option to setup your iPad from another iPad. Tap Set Up Without Another Device
3) On this screen, choose Apple Store for your wireless network. If you can't see it in this list, your IT department will need to enable it.
4) On this screen, tap Enrol this iPad. Then on the next screen, enter your username and password. NOT your email address. For example, the username for GAM-iPad.User@catrust.co.uk would be GAM-iPad.User. Once signed in, you'll

5) If prompted, and if you wish to do so, setup Touch ID and a Passcode.
6) If you are prompted to enter your Apple ID, and wish to, enter your account details. If you wish to skip this step, tap Forgot password or don't have an account, then tap Set Up Later in Settings.
7) If prompted, select either Light or Dark display.
8) If prompted, select what time of Multitasking and Windowing you'd prefer. The default iPad experience is Full-Screen Apps
There may be screenshots from this article that have not been included in your setup experience. For the most part, its all preference apart from logging into your iPad and possibly the Wi-Fi network if you're setting up at home.
