Transfer Calls from a Yealink Handset (3CX)

When transferring calls with Yealink phones there are two types of transfer to consider:-

1. Attended Transfer
   This is where you wish to make sure the person you are transferring the call to is available or wishes to take the call prior to pushing the incoming call to them.
2. Blind Transfer
   This is where you just push the call to the person you wish to transfer to. If the call is unanswered the caller would be greeted with whatever the extensions ring out configuration is - this could be to end the call without explanation or send to voicemail.

To complete blind transfers during an active call:-

1. Press button below the word "Tran" or "Transfer" on the screen during an active call. 
2. Enter the number you want to transfer to and either wait 3 seconds for the phone to autodial or press the button below the word "dial" or "send" onscreen.
3. Immediately press button below the word "Tran" or "Transfer" complete the transfer.
4. Process is now complete and the caller has been transferred.

To complete an attended transfer during an active call:-

1. Press button below the word "Tran" or "Transfer" on the screen during an active call. 
2. Enter the number you want to transfer to and either wait 3 seconds for the phone to autodial or press the button below the word "dial" or "send" onscreen.
3. Wait for the person you wish to transfer the call to - to answer the phone and complete any handover conversation. 
   
   a) If they want the call, Press button below the word "Tran" or "Transfer" to complete the transfer - they now have the call - Process complete
   
   b) If they dont want the call then the other party should put the phone down and you will now note you have a flashing light on one of the buttons around the screen (normally the first and second light) - Press this to retake the original call back from being on hold.

Notes on entering transfer numbers:-
You can Press "dir" when you should be entering the number you wish to transfer the call to, followed by selecting the 3CX Phonebook - however you may find this exhausting scrolling through all the schools extensions.
