Sometimes OneNote has problems which might cause it to misbehave. Clearing the OneNote cache is one potential solution to this. Here is how to do it on macOS.

- Close Microsoft OneNote completely.
- Open the Finder on your Mac.
- Go to the “Go” menu and select “Go to Folder.”
- Type/copy and paste ~/Library/Containers/
- Find the folder ‘Microsoft OneNote’ and delete it
- Empty the Bin
