When we first started using teams for meetings, we had limited capabilities for restricting what people can do.
Now, some students are finding old meetings and exploiting the fact that the chat facility within the meeting is open to them.
The Meeting owner can switch chat off, and here are the instructions to do so:

- In the meeting chat, tap the 'Meeting Details' button
- On the Meeting Options page, tap the Meeting Options button in the bar at the top
- This will open the meeting options in a Browser tab.
- Look for the Meeting Chat drop down, and change it to 'Off' or 'In meeting Only'
- Tap the Save button
- Teams will now show that Chat is disabled
