Restore an archived Team

At the end of each academic year, synced Class Teams are archived. This means everyone can still access them and the content therein - but they are no longer editable or updated.

If you wish, you can bring a Team out of archive, but understand that:

• The Team is no longer managed for you
• Members/students are not added or removed - you can do this yourself though
• If students are added manually, they will not get a secure folder of their own under the files tab
• The Team will not archived automatically at the end of the academic year

It is recommended that you make use of each year's new Class Teams and get familiar with accessing Teams in archive to get the full benefit out of managed teams.

But, if you want to bring a Team out of archive (for the second year of a GCSE or A-Level class, for example) then this is how:

1. Select Teams  on the left to see the list of your teams.

2. At the bottom of the list, select Manage 

3. In the Archived list, find the name of the team you want to restore

4. Select More options  > Restore team.
