==========
Introduction
Back in 2021, Subject Sites were migrated to a new location, which made them 'Teams Aware'. This meant that attachments could be added to assignments directly from the subject site without having to download and reupload, alongside a few other benefits.
The 'old' subject sites have remained for 12 months for convenience. Any references and shortcuts which referred to content in the 'old' sites has worked on a read-only basis for this time.
However, we cannot keep these sites indefinitely, and the time has come to remove them entirely.
What do you need to do?
This will only affect you if you still have anything which links to the old subject sites, as these direct links are the only way people are likely to encounter them as all other references have long since been removed.
Therefore, if you haven't yet updated your links, bookmarks and shortcuts, now is a good time to do so.
When will this happen?
For Cambourne and Melbourn, this will happen during the Easter holidays, 2022
For St Peter's and Comberton, this will happen during the Summer holidays, 2022
How can I tell?
The way to tell if a link, bookmark or shortcut points to an old site is to either:
- Inspect the address - the old site will look similar to this

OLD - After /sites/, it will say CAM-Subjects, COM-Subjects, MEL-Subjects or SPS-Subjects, followed by a forward slash and the subject code. These are the old subject sites which are set for removal.
CURRENT - A current subject site will look like /sites/CAM_Subjects_CS/ - these are current and are not being removed.
- Click the link. If it hasn't yet been removed, the site will have a banner across the top informing you that it is in Read Only mode
